Who Are We

Kids4Peace Seattle is an interfaith youth movement dedicated to turning divided societies into communities of lasting peace. We bring together Muslim, Jewish, Christian, and other youth from across the greater Seattle area to learn about — and take action to improve — issues such as religious intolerance, racism, and homelessness & poverty. We accomplish our goals through two key initiatives: the Kids4Peace Community and Kids4Peace Outreach.

  • The Kids4Peace Community consists of youth in grades 6-12 who take part in summer and school-year programs, featuring monthly meetings, overnight retreats, intensive summer experiences, and community service projects.
  • Kids4Peace Outreach consists of a range of programs that reach the broader Seattle community through workshops, public events, and other special opportunities.
  • All of our programs focus on four key areas: interfaith education, dialogue & leadership skills, social change, and community building.

Kids4Peace Seattle is part of Kids4Peace International, an organization with chapters across the United States and in Jerusalem. Some of our programs are run jointly with other chapters, affording Seattle youth the opportunity to interact with peers from around the world, gaining both a local and global perspective on social change.

We invite you to learn more about our programs and how our youth are changing the world!

We will not stop working until each and every person feels safe to live their life without fear, with authenticity and pride for their identity. Today we hold our friends and community members with love and encourage you to do the same. ... See MoreSee Less

Today we remember the tragedy one year ago in Parkland, Florida. We are so grateful for all the voices standing up against school shootings. We also know that gun violence impacts all corners of our communities each day. This violence shows up in hatred and normalized violence towards marginalized peoples, through issues of police brutality, and in our community spaces like schools, religious communities, and even movie theaters. We pledge to keep working towards gun reform to address violence in all forms and invite you to take action with us as we create the change we need. --K4P Seattle
