Who Are We

K4P Cincinnati youth working to plan a Cultural Festival for February 2019.

Kids4Peace Cincinnati is an interfaith youth movement dedicated to turning divided societies into communities of lasting peace. We bring together Muslim, Jewish, Christian, and other youth from across the Cincinnati area to learn about each other’s faith practices, and to take action to create peace in our communities. Our programs focus on four key areas: interfaith education, dialogue & leadership skills, social change, and community building.

Kids4Peace Cincinnati is part of Kids4Peace International, an organization with chapters across the United States and in Jerusalem. Some of our programs are run jointly with other chapters, affording Cincinnati youth the opportunity to interact with peers from around the world, gaining both a local and global perspective on social change.

We invite you to learn more about our programs and how our youth are changing the world!

8 days ago Shahnaz shared about her experience with Kids4Peace at our first annual Inspire Hope Fundraiser. She said

I started with K4P last summer when I joined camp. That decision that I made was one of the best decisions Ive made so far in my youth.

It was a great decision for us too! Thank you so much for your leadership Shahnaz!

During this refreshing spring season of celebration of the earth's beauty, along with the promise of hope and peace, our many friends are also celebrating both Passover and Easter. We wish all of our Jewish friends and family Chag Pesach Sameach, and to our Christian friends and Family Happy Easter! ... See MoreSee Less

Jack and Sean (and Noah) attended our Kids4Peace international camp last year and shared some of their experiences with us at our first annual inspire hope fundraiser. They did a great job and it was inspiring to hear both of them share how they can now approach issues knowing that there are multiple ways to see or perceive a particular issue. They are learning the skills of peace makers. They are truly great leaders and we thank them for their leadership!Image attachment

“These youth are able to accomplish what people before them have struggled to do: see others not as outsiders, but as potential friends.”

Farha summed up the brilliance of our kids on Sunday night at the first annual Inspire Hope fundraiser. She has been with Kids4Peace for several years now. First, as a counselor and then as a board member. Farha plans to journey off to college next year, we will dearly miss her and are excited for her.

That quote really inspires me in part because I know it to be true. I’ve watched over the past year as young people from different faith (and no faith) backgrounds have become great friends or have strengthened their already great friendships.

Kids4Peace is really something special. It is the solution to a divided society. It is no longer seeing what separates us first. It is seeing people as potential friends. It is the most hopeful I’ve been about the future in a long time. Our future is here in these young people and they are shining examples of what peace looks like: true, authentic friendship.

I am inspired by the young people at Kids4Peace and am thankful to carry out the K4P vision with them. That vision is simple: to empower young people to create more peaceful communities.

This year we plan to live out that vision in several ways.
Register more kids for our middle school camp
Introduce Kids4Peace clubs in two schools
Grow our core youth leadership team
Create a weekly interfaith group for 7 weeks in the fall

We appreciate everyone who came to the Inspire Hope Fundraiser yesterday and contributed towards the completion of these goals!

If you were unable to make the fundraiser and would still like to contribute, you may do so at bit.ly/k4pcincinnati.

With your support and the kids’ leadership I am confident we will continue to create more peace in our world.

Peace to you,

Farha & Zach were our registration wizards at our first annual Inspire Hope fundraiser. Farha also shared what inspired her about kids for peace saying These youth are able to accomplish what people before them have struggled to do; to see others not as outsiders, but potential friends.

We just love that quote. We love Farha and Zach too! Thanks for your leadership.
