Kids4Peace Houston Second Year Camp

In 2012 Houston hosted its first Kids4Peace Camp in 10 years. In 2013 and 2014, Kids4Peace has partnered with Jerusalem Peacebuilders to bring a new second year continuation program that provides intermediate peace education camp for younger teens.  Our vision is a six-year peace education program that engages North American, Israeli, and Palestinian teens continuously from the ages of 12-18.

Summer Camp 2014

August 7-17, 2014  at Camp Allen and Houston

This summer, second year continuation camp will be held at the Episcopal Diocese of Texas’ premier recreational facility, Camp Allen, which is based just outside of Houston.  Camp Allen boasts over 1,000 acres of rolling forest with 2 lakes (one is 70 acres), 3 swimming pools, 3 campsites that house up to 85 people per campsite, equestrian center, environmental learning center, high and low ropes challenge courses, zip lines, disc golf course, covered outdoor sports pavilion, tennis courts, hiking trails, archery range, and playground. Additional activities are swimming, canoeing, kayaking, arts and crafts, basketball, field games, hiking, and evening camp fires.

Second-year camp is for current seventh graders. The goals for this continuation program include fostering self-confidence and trust, with a focus on integrity, honesty and respect for others.
