Hinda Miller has enjoyed a long career as entrepreneur, elected state official, corporate executive, board member, certified coach, educator and business consultant specializing in entrepreneurship /advancement of women. 40 years of yoga /dance practice informs her personal and professional life. She lives with husband, Dr. Joel Miller with whom she has raised 2 adults.
Ms. Miller co-founded Jogbra, Inc. in 1977, the original maker of the “jogbra” women’s sports garment. Together with partner Lisa Lindahl, she identified the need for an undergarment that would support a woman’s breasts while running and created a prototype by sewing two jockstraps together. They built an international apparel brand with an emphasis on sportsbra technology until selling to Playtex, then to Sara Lee Corp. serving as President / CEO of Champion Jogbra.
She was elected Vermont State Senator [ 2003-2012] serving on economic development and appropriations committees. She was awarded Legislator of the Year 2010, by VT. Businesses for Social Responsibility, association of 750 VT.- based businesses focusing on triple bottom line.
As board member of Keurig Green Mountain, Fortune-500 Company 1999-2016, Hinda chaired both Sustainability and Governance Committees. After serving on Champlain College board, she currently sits on UVM advisory board / Sustainable Innovation MBA. She is certified coach by the International Coach Federation & Gestalt International Study Center. Her current work also includes board membership on Girltrek and Kids4Peace.
